I tried getting in touch with Quinn recently but I don't think he's at Millers anymore.  Do you know if any of the local surplus stores have my ceramic plates?

Yeah, I swung by a couple of months ago and was told he "moved" on...I can try to swing by or give them a ring if you want.  What are the specs?

I know every now and then they'd have a set of SAPI plates pass through the shop...I just never plopped down the cash for em.  If they have a med or lrg pair for the right price I might be interested.

I'll see what I can do.  I'll look up an old friend whose mom worked in a plant in Canada that made balistic plates too.

Thanks.

I tried to text message him a few times since Christmas but never got a reply.  I'll hit him up on Myspace if I remember.

Hey Benn and Bob

Sorry guys long time since I been back on the forum. I too tried contacting Quinn around 9/10/09 on Myspace, I never got a reply yet and yes  Quinn no longer works at Miller's.

Need real armor and plates? try     www.practicaltactical.net  then click on protective equipment section

I read their agreement policy for armor purchase and from the looks of it , civi's can buy it. Not the concealable LE stuff but the military BALC/SPEAR level 3A inserts for Eagle CIRAS vest and carriers, Level 3A plates and level 4 standalone plate. Policy mention you only need two forms of ID ,a driver's ID and one of the following a LE/Military and/or CCW carry permit. These guys are in Phoenix, AZ area

Price are a bit hefty , but they are brand new. I haven't called to talk with the shop about the policy, but if anybody has please post up what you know.
